termsthe agreement for using ShareBase

Using ShareBase means agreeing to what is on this page. It is short on purpose. Last updated in 2026.

Who can use it

Anyone an admin has added to a workspace. Signing in on its own does not give you a workspace; somebody who already has one has to let you in. You need to be old enough to enter an agreement where you live, and you must give us a real email address you control.

If you are using ShareBase for your employer, you are telling us you are allowed to agree to this on their behalf.

What is yours

Everything your team builds here stays yours: the apps, the code, and whatever data they hold. We claim nothing in it. We hold it so the service can run, and we look at it only when we have to — to fix a fault, to keep the platform secure, or because you asked us to.

ShareBase itself — the platform, the console, the name — stays ours.

What you are responsible for

What you deploy, and what it does. An app you put on the internet from here is yours: what it collects, who it serves, and whether it is allowed to do that where it is used. That includes apps an agent wrote for you — an agent acting in your workspace is acting as you.

Also who you let in. Sharing an app or a folder gives real people real access, and adding somebody to a workspace is a decision only your admins can make and unmake.

What is not allowed

Do not use ShareBase to break the law, to host malware or phishing, to attack anybody, or to send bulk unsolicited mail. Do not use it to store other people's personal information without the right to hold it.

Do not go looking for a way around the limits — do not try to reach another workspace, get at data you were not granted, or work around the checks that decide who may open an app. Do not resell the platform as if it were your own.

If you find a security problem, tell us instead of using it. Write to [email protected] and we will treat it seriously and quickly.

What we promise

To run the service with care, to keep your work safe as best we reasonably can, and to be straight with you when something breaks.

What we do not promise yet is that it never goes down. ShareBase is young and there is no uptime guarantee behind it today, so anything you would be badly hurt by losing deserves a copy somewhere else. When we are ready to commit to a number, it will be written here.

Stopping

You can stop whenever you like — delete your apps, or ask us to close the workspace, and it goes. Ask before you do and we will give you a copy of what is in it.

We can suspend an account or an app that is doing one of the things above, and we will tell you why when we do. If it is serious enough to be an emergency we may act first and explain straight afterwards.

If something goes wrong

We will do what we reasonably can to put it right. What we cannot take on is unlimited responsibility for what an outage or a fault costs you: our liability is limited to what you paid us for the service in the twelve months before it happened, and we are not liable for indirect losses like lost profit or lost business.

Nothing here removes rights the law where you live gives you and does not let us sign away.

Changes

We may change these terms. If a change matters to you we will tell you by email before it takes effect, and the date at the top of this page always says when it last moved. Carrying on using ShareBase after that means the new version applies.
